I give him about a half of a cup a day and I am extremely happy with the result. He is calm almost 90% of the time and he is more focused. The half cup of coffee is the only caffene he gets all day so I’m sure he is not being harmed by it.

I wouldn’t give my daughter coffee (at almost one year old) but I’m sorry, going without it for nine months of pregnancy was hell enough!

That usually puts and end to the whole issue.

They just want the extra sugar and cream.

You come up with some great Parenting Polls. I’m often disturbed when I see kids (middle and high school) at my local Starbucks and ordering uber-caffeinated drinks. I was raised under the premise that coffee stunts your growth. My parents never allowed us to go near it. I didn’t have my first cup until college.

Our son, two-years-old, will not be drinking coffee, nor will he be drinking any soda. He hasn’t thus far.
