The funny thing is…we live in South Carolina….we get ice storms…not snow! LOL

Wow, that’s fabulous. First of all, that is EXACTLY how my Christmas’ were when I was a kid. Except that my parents used to force us to stay upstairs until they “checked if Santa came” (i.e. got coffee and aspirin to nurse their hangovers.) I spent HOURS making sure that my leg stuck out just THAT MUCH further than my sister’s so that I was sure to get the head start. Little bro had no chance at all.

Cut to the next scene, 15 years later, my Grandfather comes to our house at 6 to witness the madness and 7 goes by … 8 goes by … 9 goes by… 10 … finally Grandpa Bill says “this is ridiculous. Wake up your kids. It’s CHRISTMAS.”

Sounds to me like you guys need to adopt the Kennedy tradition of Lox, Bagels, and BUCKETS of Champagne for Christmas breakfast.

And to think that I had it pretty well considering I got an extra hour of sleep on Christmas! – Suburban Uncle
