If I let the word out, you may have 2 additional kids for those pizza/McD nights…. Our 5 year old has a weekly pizza night on Thursday, my longer commute day. It’s sad when Papa John’s knows me (and him) by name. They remember the small cheese with no sauce very well!

I am glad to see someone else has similar nights like we do at times in our household. Peanut butter and jelly are a favorite….throw a few grapes and string cheese and voila!

I, too, am a terrible parent. I rely too much on McDonald’s. Usually, it’s reserved for a night Scout has a basketball game or on Sunday for lunch after church…if they behave themselves. Hey, I got them to church, right?

We don’t keep froot loops in the house. I don’t buy any cereal that is more than 33% sugar, by weight.

When we were growing up my mother would make apple fritters for dinner one Friday night during Lent. Usually a night my father planned to be home late, because apple fritters were not dinner, in his book.

I love that when kids are left to their own devices they pick the most random things to eat.

When I would baby sit my little sister all she ever wanted was ketchup sandwhiches. Just two pieces of bread and ketchup. . .
