Thing 4 loves to draw pictures. And what’s more fun than drawing a picture of yourself? Judging from that smile, not much.

Dance Recital Time
It’s springtime which means another dance recital for Thing 4. If you haven’t been, the recital is a multiple hour endeavor to watch a 2 minute performance. The cuteness of so many little girls – and one boy this year – in fancy costumes is overwhelming. I’ll save you multiple hours and show you the 2 minutes here. Thing 4 is second from the right.
Dance Artist
Thing 4 loves to dance and sing. It doesn’t matter if she knows the words, she just makes up her own. And she improvises the dance moves as she sings. I don’t know if there is Broadway in her future, but it sure is entertaining to watch.
Unicorns and Rainbows
In preschool today, the topic was what do you want to be when you grow up? Most of the answers were typical. A policeman, fireman, nurse, a mommy, a dancer. Thing 4 has a slightly different plan.
Teacher: What do you want to be when you are big?
Thing 4: A unicorn because I want to have rainbow hair.
Bingo
In case you forgot how to play Bingo, Thing 4 explains all the rules.
Dance Recital
After years of attending flag football games, Little League, and Tae Kwon Do, we got to experience our first dance recital. Picture a hundred girls ages 2-8 on a high school auditorium stage, with 600 family and friends watching in the audience. Yes, it was chaos. Babies crying in the audience. Girls getting stage fright and crying on stage. SuburbanMommy standing back stage with the rest of the dance moms. Things 1-3 complaining about having to sit still and keep quiet, especially after the sound system broke and they had to repeat two routines. I enjoyed every minute of it. Just wait until you see Thing 4 in her blue costume. She is the one walking in on her toes, dancing all the way to the left.
Kindergarten Play
It wouldn’t be spring without a Kindergarten play. You may remember Thing 2’s play a couple years ago. This time it was Thing 3’s turn. He played “Mr Rabbit” with critical acclaim, in front of a jam-packed school gym.
